Violent Crime Task Force Formed in Florence County

The Florence County Police Department and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have formed the Florence County Multi-jurisdictional Violent Crime Task Force. The task force was created to provide a ‘comprehensive investigative approach to combat the rising level of violent crimes, trafficking in narcotics and dangerous drugs, other pervasive crimes in Florence County and to provide for a more effective use of public resources.’ The Florence City Council approved a resolution yesterday to solidify the task force.
