The House Select Committee investigating the Capitol Riots is holding a hearing today. It will focus on former President Trump’s efforts to stay in power in the final weeks of his presidency and his role in bringing rioters to D.C. The hearing comes as lawmakers on the committee seek to add to their narrative that Trump is at fault for the riot that forced hundreds of lawmakers into hiding and interrupted the counting of electoral votes. The hearing today will be lead by Representatives Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Stephanie Murphy of Florida. The Proud Boys and Oath Keepers will be at the center of the hearing.
