President Biden Honors 17 People During Presidential Medal Ceremony

Yesterday, President Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 17 Americans. Among those honored included Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Soccer star Megan Rapinoe and gold star father Khizr Khan, also among honorees included Steve Jobs, John McCain and Richard Trumka posthumously. Denzel Washington was supposed to also receive the honor, but due to testing positive for the Coronavirus, he had to miss the ceremony. President Biden said he will give Denzel his award at a later date.
