Two Police Officers Die After Sustaining Injuries During Shooting in California

Two California Police Officers have died after being rushed to the hospital following a shooting yesterday. Two El Monte officers responded to the call of a possible stabbing taking place at the Siesta Inn. The officers were shot by a suspect immediately after arriving at the scene. Both were said to be in grave condition and transported to LAC-USC  Medical Center where they succumbed to their injuries. Neither officer was identified but one was a 22 year veteran of the force and the other had been working as an officer for less than a year. According to the LA County Sheriff’s Office, one suspect was also shot and killed during the incident. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
