How Hobbies Help Us Get Through Uncertain Times

It's important to have some things in your emergency self care kit to pull from when things shift around you. 

You know that thing you started during the pandemic such as cooking, knitting, painting, playing the guitar…you may want to hold onto that skill.  Columnist Arthur Brooks calls those things the upside of a “lifequake,” the good that comes out of things that shake your normal.  And though a pandemic is a major shift, the average person goes through some sort of transition every 12 to 16 months.  It’s important to have some things in your emergency self care kit to pull from when things shift around you.  It’s those things that help us get through 90% of things better for it.
