Film Screening on World AIDS Day

In commemoration of World AIDS Day, local healthcare nonprofit, Careteam+, will host a free screening that is open to the public at their offices of the compelling documentary, deepsouth, on Monday, December 1st,from 5:30 to 7 PM. deepsouth is described by its website as “a documentary about the rural American South and the people who inhabit its most quiet corners. Beneath layers of history, poverty, and now soaring HIV infections, four Americans redefine traditional Southern values to create their own solutions to survive.” A candlelight vigil will follow. Free and confidential HIV testing will be available throughout the day.
