AIDS Quilt Display at Coastal Grand Mall
The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt was first created in 1987, to serve “as a memorial for those who have died of AIDS, and to thereby help people understand the devastating impact of the disease,” according to the organization’s history. More than 48,000 3’ x 6’ memorial panels make up the quilt today. Careteam+ will display 16 of those panels in two 12’x 12’ blocks at Coastal Grand Mall in store space 290 near JC Penney from November 25th to World AIDS Day on December 1st. It is free and open to the public during mall hours.
