Men’s Soccer Team Secures Spot in 2022 FIFA World Cup

The United States men’s soccer team is heading to the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the first time in eight years. The U.S. went into yesterday’s 14th and final world cup qualifying game against Costa Rica. Needing to avoid a loss of six goals or more to secure their spot, they ended up losing the game 2-0, but still placed in the top three alongside Canada and Mexico. The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21st to December 18th.
