Hyundai Places Recall On Over 94,000 Vehicles

The recall was placed due to a risk of fire associated with the overheating of motors on power front seats.

Hyundai has placed a recall on over 94,000 vehicles.

The recall covers 2017-2020 Genesis G80 and 2015-2016 Genesis Sedans. It was placed due to a risk of fire associated with the overheating of motors on power front seats.

The front seat slide and height adjustment control switch could become dislodged or damaged when subjected to external force, potentially causing the switch to remain engaged and the seat adjustment motor to operate continuously, even after you exit the vehicle.

Prolonged use of the motor may result in overheating, increasing the risk of a fire. Owners can take their vehicle to a dealership for repair.
