Trump Delivers Speech At United Nations General Assembly

Trump once again predicted that a deal to end the Iran war will come after midterm elections in the U.S., noting he has “a big decision to make.”

President Trump took the world stage Tuesday to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The speech comes as multiple conflicts hang over the annual gathering. That includes rising global energy prices and concerns around rapidly evolving AI.

The Trump administration is also navigating scrutiny from the media and First Amendment advocates after he banned three networks from the White House.

In addition, the Iran conflict and Russia’s war with Ukraine are expected to feature prominently as Trump holds a packed slate of meetings with world leaders.

Trump plans to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky, U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and the heads of several Gulf countries.
