Hand Soap Recalled Due To Possible Bacteria Contamination

The soaps have 2028 best-by dates and were sold to wholesalers and retail locations in 15 states including North and South Carolina.

Intercon Chemical Co. has placed a recall on over 2,600 cases of hand soap.

The soap is being recalled due to possible contamination with several types of bacteria. All of the bacteria are environmental and can cause infections in humans, especially those with compromised immune systems.

The FDA has assigned the recall as a Class II risk level. That means use of the products could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
