Los Angeles Helicopter Crash Claims Three Lives, Leaving One Hurt

A news helicopter crashed in Los Angeles Tuesday night resulting in several deaths.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that over 70 firefighters responded to the crash between two commercial buildings in Chatsworth.

The helicopter involved was confirmed to be NewsChopper4 that was providing aerial coverage of a deadly crash involving a bus and an SUV in the area when it went down.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene and a fourth was taken to a hospital but their condition is unknown. One of the victims was a pedestrian in the parking lot while the other two were aboard the helicopter.

The crash sparked a fire that damaged four vehicles and two storage containers before firefighters extinguished the flames. No nearby structures were exposed to the fire. The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are now investigating the crash.
