Tyler Robinson To Stand Trial In Charlie Kirk Assassination

A Utah judge ruled that prosecutors presented enough evidence to move forward on all seven charges against Tyler Robinson.

The man accused of assassinating Conservative activist Charlie Kirk will stand trial.

On Tuesday, Tyler Robinson appeared in court where a Utah judge ruled that prosecutors presented enough evidence to move forward on all seven charges against him.

Following the ruling, Robinson pleaded not guilty to all charges. That includes aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.

The judge ruled that cameras could remain in the courtroom despite a push from Robinson’s attorneys that raised concerns.

31-year-old Kirk was shot and killed on Sept. 10 of 2025 while speaking before thousands at an outdoor Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.

Robinson is accused of firing the fatal shot from an elevated position overlooking the crowd.
