President Trump Pledges Federal Funding For Interstate 73
Trump said all of the top people in Washington are in favor of the decision 100% and they're going to have the funding that's necessary.
During his Myrtle Beach visit, President Trump pledged federal funding for I-73.
The president announced that the federal government will ensure funding for the interstate during a rally for Darline Graham. He said all of the top people in Washington are in favor of the decision 100% and they’re going to have the funding that’s necessary.
Trump said I-73 will serve as a major corridor and help offset growth in South Carolina. The South Carolina Department of Transportation said it is waiting to start the project until funding has been identified.
I-73 would be the first interstate leading straight to the Grand Strand. It is expected to boost growth along the coast.
