The research revealed first-borns carry a higher risk for neurodevelopmental conditions…like autism, ADHD, and food allergies. According to experts, second-born children carry excess risk for substance abuse and gastrointestinal issues.
To obtain these results, researchers analyzed 10 million individuals and tested more than 569 diseases, in order to find out which ones were more or less likely between first-borns and second-borns.
