Apparently, even our dogs aren’t immune to baby-name trends. A new ranking reveals America’s most popular dog names — and while some classics are still fetching plenty of attention, a few pop-culture-inspired picks are moving up the pack.

Bella has reclaimed the title of America’s most popular dog name for 2026, followed by Luna, Max, Coco and Daisy. The rankings from U.S. News & World Report analyzed more than 500,000 data points from pet insurance records, with Bella coming out on top in 25 states. Pop culture may be lending a paw, too: Coco is a character on Bluey, while Daisy has appeared as a canine name in movies including John Wick and The Secret Life of Pets.
