Florence Co. Teacher Accused Of Sending Sexually Explicit Texts To Minor

Megan Bolt has been charged with criminal solicitation of a minor. She was released from custody Wednesday on a $10,000 bond.

A public school teacher in Florence County has been arrested.

Investigators allege that 45-year-old Megan Bolt “knowingly communicated sexually explicit texts with a minor student” who was 13 years old or younger with the intent of “persuading the minor to engage in a sexual act.”

The messages allegedly occurred between April 1-Aug. 5. Bolt taught at John W. Moore Middle School of Florence I Schools. She has been charged with criminal solicitation of a minor. She was released from custody Wednesday on a $10,000 bond. Further details are limited.
