The department was selected to receive $50,000 funding through Lowe’s Community Impact Program.

The money will be used to renovate the station’s kitchen, creating what the department says will be a safer and more functional space for firefighters.

The kitchen is also regularly used by community members and organizations.

Through social media, the department thanked Lowe’s for the grant that will be used to check the bucket list renovation.
