U.S. Defeated In Round Of 16 Loss Against Belgium

Unfortunately, the U.S. Men’s National Team was defeated 4-1 in the Round of 16 matchup against Belgium. That game came after the U.S. won the Round of 32 for its first knockout round win in over two decades.

In the 12 total World Cups the U.S. has been in, it has one Semifinal appearance, one Quarterfinal appearance and five Round of 16 appearances.

In addition, two staff members of the U.S. soccer team were suspended by FIFA from Monday’s game. However, it was not explained why the Team Manager Sam Zapatka and U.S. Soccer Federation Vice President of Security Frank Pannell were disciplined.

Separately, Thursday at 9pm, France will face off against Morocco. On Friday, Spain will face Belgium at 3pm. On Saturday Norway will go against England at 5pm and Argentina will face off against Switzerland at 9pm.
