Third Suspect Arrested Following Double Homicide In Dillon Co.

The deceased individuals were identified as 22-year-old Tyrese Smith and 18-year-old Ja'Quese Alford.

A third arrest has been made in connection to a double homicide that occurred in Dillon County.

On March 23, a shooting unfolded on South 9th Avenue while another occurred on South 1st Avenue around the same time. The incidents were found to be connected.

Several people were injured and taken to hospitals where two of the victims did not survive the injuries they sustained. The deceased individuals were identified as 22-year-old Tyrese Smith and 18-year-old Ja’Quese Alford.

On Thursday, 28-year-old Bradley Wheeler was arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a felon. On Wednesday, police also arrested Howard Fields Jr., who was charged with murder. Last month, 19-year-old Isaiah Bethea was also arrested in connection to the shootings. The investigation is still active and additional arrests are expected.
