The Bruins defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks in the national championship Sunday. By the end of the third quarter, the Bruins had a 29-point lead over the Gamecocks. The final score was 79-51 with UCLA making 43% of their shots compared to South Carolina’s 29%.
Last season marked the first time UCLA had been to the Final Four in the women’s NCAA tournament, though they lost to the UConn Huskies, 85-51.
