Frozen Dino Nuggets Sold At Walmart May Contain Lead

The ready-to-eat nuggets may contain "unsafe levels of lead."

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for certain frozen products.

The “Great Value Fully Cooked Dino Shaped Chicken Breast Nuggets” were sold in 29-ounce bags at Walmart locations nationwide.

The ready-to-eat nuggets may contain “unsafe levels of lead.” The issue was discovered during routine testing, and an investigation is ongoing.

The products have a best by date of February 10. It is no longer available on shelves, but consumers could still have the products in their freezers. Those who purchased the product are urged to discard it or return it to the place of purchase.
