Florence County Crews Fight Apartment Fire

The flames broke out at the Brittany Place Apartments

Florence County Fire Rescue crews responded to an apartment fire Thursday night.

The flames broke out around 5:30pm at the Brittany Place Apartments in the 1200 block of Brittany Drive. Smoke was witnessed coming from a second-story apartment.

The blaze was contained after firefighters initiated “an aggressive interior fire attack,” limiting damage to the structure. Salvage and overhaul operations were conducted to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

The cause of the flames was not revealed. No injuries were reported.
