Details Released After Arrests Of Two CCU Basketball Players

Joshua Beadle and Nadjrick Peat were each charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Further details have been released following the arrest of two CCU men’s basketball team members.

Joshua Beadle and Nadjrick Peat were both arrested by Conway police on Tuesday. They were each charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to warrants, on March 15, police met with a woman at a hospital who reported that she had been sexually assaulted the day prior. The alleged situation unfolded off campus in the 600 block of Highway 544.

Peat and Beadle were identified as the suspects of the assault which occurred while the woman was “in an intoxicated and incapacitated condition, rendering her unable to knowingly and voluntarily consent to sexual activity.” Both men have since been released from custody on $10,000 bonds.

The university is taking action via the code of student conduct, as with any alleged violations. Additional information was not available.
