Boeing 787 Dreamliner Voted “Coolest Thing Made In S.C.”

The annual competition highlights innovation, craftsmanship, and production across the state.

A Boeing 787 manufactured by the Boeing company in North Charleston/Orangeburg has been name the Coolest Thing Made in S.C..

The Dreamliner got around 35,000 votes in the final round of Manufacturing Madness. Gov. McMaster and other state leaders made the decree at the State House Tuesday.

This year’s four finalist included the Dreamliner, Constant Velocity Joint by JTEKT, PFX Flex Sub-Lite-Wall by Zeus, and CardioEducator by NursEdvance Innovations.
