Student Accused Of Making Threat Against Georgetown Co. School
Investigators searched the student's home but said they found no weapons.
A student in Georgetown County is accused of threatening a middle school campus via social media.
The 12-year-old allegedly threatened to “shoot up the school,” referring to Rosemary Middle School in Andrews.
Several students also provided statements claiming the student had compiled a “kill list.” Investigators searched the student’s home but said they found no weapons.
The student was not named due to juvenile status, but they have been charged with student threats and released to their parents.
The Georgetown County School District is handling disciplinary action against the student who has been “placed out of school.”
There was an increase in law enforcement present at the school Thursday out of an abundance of caution.
