Man Charged Following Fatal Motorcycle Crash

45-year-old Melissa Lubrico died from traumatic injuries she sustained.

One man has been arrested following a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Horry County.

The accident happened around 9:30pm on Saturday in the area of Bud Graham Road and 7th Avenue near Aynor.

The motorcycle was traveling east on 7th Avenue when it ran off the road. 45-year-old Melissa Lubrico was a passenger on the motorcycle and died from traumatic injuries she sustained.

44-year-old Ryan Peavy was the driver and has since been arrested and charged with felony DUI resulting in death and hit-and-run involving death. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and released to home detention on a $20,000 bond. An investigation remains underway.
