Man Arrested Following Police Chase That Ended In A Crash

Darlington County deputies discovered a Honda Accord that had been reported stolen.

One man was arrested following a police pursuit that ended in a crash.

The incident happened on Monday when Darlington County deputies discovered a Honda Accord that had been reported stolen out of Florence County.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the driver of the vehicle failed to stop. That prompted the chase which ended when the suspect crashed off of Phillips Street in Darlington County. The suspect then fled on foot before he was detained.

Marquise Wilson-Washington was taken to a hospital to be evaluated and was cleared for release. He was then taken to the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to stop for blue lights.
