Bam Adebayo Surpasses Kobe Bryant For Second-Highest Scoring Game
Bam Adebayo scored a historic 83 points in the team's 150-129 victory over the Washington Wizards.
Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo scored a historic 83 points in the team’s 150-129 victory over the Washington Wizards. This is the second-most scored amount of points by a player in a single game in NBA history.
Adebayo surpassed former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who scored 81 points in a single game in 2006. The move also ranks him after Wilt Chamberlain who holds the top record after he scored 100 points in a single game in 1962.
There had only been 15 instances of a player scoring 70 or more points in a game in NBA history. This was the first since 2024. Adebayo is only the 11th player in league history to score 70+ points in a game, and he is one of just six active players to do so. The previous high for a game this season was 56 points.
