4-Year-Old Dies After Being Pulled From Pond

Police responded to the 100 block of Cheyenne Road on reports of a drowning.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office has identified a minor that was pronounced deceased after drowning. Last Sunday, police responded to the 100 block of Cheyenne Road on reports of a drowning. 4-year-old Jonathan Rubio-Mora was pulled from a pond just outside of his home in the Conway area. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. The incident is under investigation but further details were not immediately available.
