Snapchat Announces First-Ever Creator Awards Show

Snapchat announced that it will host its first-ever awards show.

The social media giant is calling the awards, ‘The Snappys,’ which is dedicated to celebrate “the creators shaping the culture” on the app.

The award categories include “Spotlight MVP,” “Best Story Teller,” and “Breakout Creator of the Year.” They’ll also be awards across fashion, beauty, sports, music, food and games. Other awards include collaboration, comedy, and cultural impact.

Snapchat said The Snappys reinforces its ongoing commitment to celebrating creators not just as users, but as artists, entertainers, and cultural leaders. The awards will be held on March 21.
