The Average Couple’s Bedtime Gap

Younger couples find it more important to lessen the bedtime gap, while it matters less to older folks.

Do you and your significant other usually go to bed at the same time? Or, do you go to bed and they stay up all night watching tv?

According to a new report, the average couple often has a “bedtime gap” of an hour and 20 minutes. That extra “me-time” might be nice for unwinding but the report found that couples with fewer bedtime gaps tend to be happier together and “very happy” couples go to bed together about four times per week. There was a difference based on age, though. Younger couples find it more important to lessen the bedtime gap, while it matters less to older folks.
