Christmas Eve Hit-And-Run Suspect Remains At Large

The suspect of a hit-and-run incident in Myrtle Beach remains at large.
The accident occurred around 7pm on Christmas Eve just east of Kings Highway on 20th Avenue North.
Billy Bowles was crossing the the road when he was struck by a vehicle. The collision involved a white Sedan with possible blue tags.
The victim reported that the driver initially stopped and got out of the vehicle but did not see him and drove away. Bowles described the suspect as a middle-aged African American man but could not recall specific details.
Bowles sustained major damage to his leg in which he had to have surgery and has been in the hospital recovering since the accident.
Police have found no leads from city or private cameras. The case remains under investigation and anyone with information should contact the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
