New research shows your morning dose of caffeine may benefit your brain.
Researchers found a link between daily caffeine consumption and a lower risk of dementia. The study looked at about 132-thousand healthy participants and found that people who drank two to three cups of caffeinated coffee a day had an 18-percent lower risk of developing dementia than people who drank less.
Similarly, tea drinkers who consumed one to two cups a day were 14-percent less likely to develop symptoms. While caffeine does contain anti-inflammatory properties…neurologists say its hard to know if caffeine alone is providing the benefit.
