A person was found deceased Monday near a wooded area along Reese Street in Bennettsville.

The coroner said that the body was identified as a male and that he is believed to have been dead between 10 to 14 days. The man’s name is not being released at this time.

A forensic autopsy is scheduled but, further details are limited as investigators work to learn more.
