Florence County Fire Rescue Responds To Three Calls Within An Hour
Crews tackled an uncontrollable outside yard fire that spread to an unoccupied mobile home.
Florence County Fire Rescue units were busy on Saturday. Crews responded to three separate incidents within the same time frame.
The first call had crews responding to a structure fire in the 600 block of E. Saint Luke Church Road in the Johnsonville area around 4:15pm. Crews tackled an uncontrollable outside yard fire that spread to an unoccupied mobile home. The flames were put out and no one was hurt.
Around 4:20pm, crews responded to the 400 block of Sixth Avenue in Pamplico to assist medical services with a medical call requiring forced entry. An individual was experiencing a serious medical emergency and was taken to a hospital to be treated.
Then around 4:55pm, units were dispatched to the 400 block of Third Avenue in the Pamplico area for another structure fire. The flames started inside an oven being used as a heating source. The fire was controlled with a kitchen fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived. One adult and three kids were evaluated for smoke inhalation.
