Conway Council Members Approve Electric Ferry Experience

It will connect the Riverwalk to downtown while offering riders a themed experience

Conway is launching a new electric ferry experience. City council members approved the purchase last week with funding from the S.C. Evolve Grants.

The ferry experience will be along the Waccamaw River with the boat serving as both transportation and entertainment. It will connect the Riverwalk to downtown while offering riders a themed experience similar to “Disney’s Jungle Cruise.”

The plan is to have fun captains in costumes that tell funny and possibly historic stories about the city. Planning is in the early stages and a timeline for the new amenity has not been announced as decisions are still being processed.
