Search For Nancy Guthrie Enters Fourth Day
The Pima County Sheriff's Office has received a copy of a possible ransom note and is working with the FBI to validate it.
The search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its fourth day.
The mother of renowned TV Journalist Savannah Guthrie was reportedly abducted from her home outside Tucson, Arizona. Nancy was reported missing on Sunday. The 84-year-old has limited mobility and reportedly “couldn’t walk 50 yards by herself.”
No suspects or motives have been identified at this time and there is “no credible information” indicating that Nancy was specifically targeted. But the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has received a copy of a possible ransom note and is working with the FBI to validate it.
Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward as time is not on their side as it is dangerous for Nancy to go without her daily medication. Authorities said that her relationship to her famous daughter is not the main focus of the investigation.
Amid the disappearance of her mother, Savannah opted out of her position to cover the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan that is set to kick off on Friday.
