Additional Arrests Made In Connection To Deceased Found In Burned SUV

20-year-old Jerrick Thomas and 23-year-old Evin Worrell were arrested Tuesday.

Two men have been arrested in connection to an incident that unfolded in October.

On October 4, the body of 20-year-old Stoney Floyd Jr. was discovered in the back seat of a burned SUV in the Longs area. He was apparently shot and killed.

20-year-old Jerrick Thomas and 23-year-old Evin Worrell were arrested Tuesday. Each face murder and gun charges in connection to Floyd’s death. Both are being held without bail at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Back in October 20-year-old Jayveon McCaskill was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder in connection to the incident. He remains in jail on a $75,000 bond.
