Warming Shelters Open For Those In Need During Winter Weather

New Directions Men's and Women's shelters will operate under a Code Blue starting Friday through Monday.

There will be several shelters open to help people stay warm during the winter storm.

New Directions Men’s and Women’s shelters will operate under a Code Blue starting Friday through Monday. Those in need of warmth can check in and remain there throughout the designated period. The need for Code Blue nights will be re-evaluated next week.

The city of Mullins has opened the auditorium on Front Street as a warming shelter. Lake City has set up a station at the community center and Bennettsville will also open a warming shelter at their community center Sunday through Tuesday from 10pm-11am.

The city of Dillon is using Fire Station 1 as a warming shelter and in Robeson County, people can seek warmth at White Flag Shelters Saturday through Wednesday. Those are located at the Lumberton Christian Care, Eden Global Ministries, and Robeson County Church and Community Center.
