Man Charged After Marlboro Co. Armed Robbery

The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant along Court Street.

One man has been arrested in connection to a robbery that occurred earlier this month.

On Jan. 7, a suspect conducted the armed robbery at the U-Tote’Em store along Highway 385 in Bennettsville.

Around 5:45am Thursday, the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant along Court Street.

Investigators collected potential evidence and arrested Rontell Drayton in connection to the robbery. He was charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
