U.S. News Ranks the Best Jobs in America

...the same gig is up at the top again.

An annual list of the best jobs in America just came out…and the same gig is up at the top again. Nurse practitioner is U.S. News & World Report‘s best job in America for a third straight year.

They base their rankings on things like how well each job pays…how fulfilling the jobs are…how stressful they are and how realistic it is to have a good work-life balance. They also look at job openings, and room for advancement.

For nurses, the typical salary is $129,000 a year, the unemployment rate is less than 1% and they expect 40% more job openings for nurse practitioners over the next decade. Financial manager was next, followed by I.T. manager, information security analyst and a physician’s assistant.
