Clintons Refuse To Testify In House Epstein Probe
The Clintons took to social media to slam the House Oversight probe as "legally invalid."
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have refused to testify in an upcoming probe against Jeffrey Epstein.
The Clintons took to social media to slam the House Oversight probe as “legally invalid.” They wrote that the chair of the House Oversight Committee, GOP Rep. James Comer, is on the cusp of a process that is “designed to result in our imprisonment.”
They continued to share that they will forcefully defend themselves as they accused Comer of allowing other former officials to provide written statements about Epstein to the committee, while selectively enforcing subpoenas against them.
Comer said he’ll begin contempt of congress proceedings next week. It potentially starts a complicated and politically messy process that Congress rarely engages in. It could also result in prosecution from the Justice Department.
