Florence City Council Officially Approves Amended Juvenile Curfew

The changes would set a midnight to 6am curfew for most areas and a 9pm to 6am limit for downtown locations.

The Florence City Council has approved the final reading of an amended juvenile curfew.

The city passed the first two readings last month on changes that would set a midnight to 6am curfew for most areas and a 9pm to 6am limit for downtown locations.

Officials also increased the enforcement age from 16 to 17, but made exceptions for teens who work during the impacted hours.

It is unclear when the amended curfew will officially take effect.
