Woman Fatally Shot By ICE Officer In Minneapolis

A woman was fatally shot by an ICE officer in Minneapolis Wednesday sparking widespread outrage.
Renee Good was 37-years-old and a mother of three children. She had recently moved to the city and was a U.S. citizen. City leaders said she was a legal observer of federal actions in the city and wasn’t a target for an ICE-related arrest.
Department of Homeland Security said the shooting occurred after “violent rioters” were trying to get involved in an immigration operation in the city. It was reported that a Honda Pilot was blocked by several federal agents when one attempted to open the driver’s side door.
Good was the driver of the vehicle who put it into reverse then into drive. The responding officer was reportedly hit by her vehicle before shots were fired.
The agency described her actions as an “act of domestic terrorism” and she “weaponized her vehicle” attempting to threaten or harm officers. The shooting is being investigated by the FBI and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
