White House Reveals New Dietary Guidelines
The new guidelines will apply to whole foods whether they are “fresh, frozen, canned or dried.”
The White House revealed new dietary guidelines calling it the “most significant reset of federal nutrition policy in history.”
The guidelines are represented by an inverted pyramid placing vegetables, fruits, proteins, dairy and healthy fats at the top and whole grains at the bottom.
“The new guidelines recognize that whole, nutrient-dense food is the most effective path to better health and lower health care costs,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said.
The new guidelines will apply to whole foods whether they are “fresh, frozen, canned or dried.” They will update the food that is served to America’s children in public schools, the military, and more.
