Person Arrested Following High Speed Chase Crossing State Lines
Horry County police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop for reckless driving in Loris.
One person was arrested following a high-speed chase across state lines.
Around 2am Thursday morning, Horry County police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop for reckless driving in the area of Fries Bay Road and Highway 746 in Loris.
The driver failed to stop leading officers on a pursuit that at times reached 90mph. The chase crossed into North Carolina when officers witnessed the driver toss a handgun out of the driver’s side window.
The chase ended back in Horry County where the initial traffic stop took place. The driver was taken into custody. No injuries were reported during the incident.
