Woman Arrested In Connection To Robbery, Man Dragged Over 130 Feet

A person was walking along the road when occupants of a Tesla approached him.

One woman is facing charges from a incident in Myrtle Beach that occurred in the middle of last year.

On May 19, police responded to the area of Oak Forest Lane and Robert Grissom Parkway. A person was walking along the road when occupants of a Tesla approached him.

Someone grabbed the victim’s arm and a bag he was carrying. The man was able to keep grip on the bag and was dragged over 130 feet until he fell from the vehicle securing the bag. He victim was transported to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Surveillance video captured the tesla at a nearby Walmart shortly before the incident and city-operated cameras showed the vehicle fleeing the scene of the robbery.

Authorities looked up the vehicle and found evidence linking 39-year-old Nichole Martinez to another person in the vehicle. She was arrested Sunday and faces charges for her alleged role in the incident. An investigation remains underway.
