Woman And Boyfriend Charged After Abuse Of Elderly Mother

A woman and her boyfriend have been charged in connection to the assault of an elderly woman.

On November 20, the 78-year-old woman suffered head, neck, and collarbone injuries. She was treated by EMS before being airlifted to a more advanced hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

Jennifer Coleman allegedly pushed her boyfriend’s mother down and attempted to hide her actions by placing the woman in a bed and convincing her that she had fallen on her own. Coleman was arrested Monday and charged with abuse of a vulnerable adult and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

The son, Joseph Bryant, is accused of attempting to help cover up the incident. He was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact and failure to report the abuse of a vulnerable adult.
