Man Faces Charges Following New Year’s Eve Incident

One man is facing multiple charges following a New Year’s Eve incident.

The situation unfolded along Baby’s Lane in the Pamplico area of Florence COunty.

56-year-old Willie Bartelle allegedly pointed a firearm at several people, assaulted someone by hitting them in the head with the gun, and fired the weapon in a home with children present.

Bartelle was charged with four counts of pointing and presenting a firearm, two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child, one count of second-degree assault and battery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace.
